ABOUT THE GALLERY
The international reputation of Galerie BASTIAN is built on the presentation of outstanding works of modern art, post-war art, and contemporary art through carefully conceived solo and group exhibitions. The exhibition program focuses on artists such as Pablo Picasso and Emil Nolde, as well as German and American post-war artists including Joseph Beuys, Anselm Kiefer, Cy Twombly, Robert Rauschenberg, and Andy Warhol. BASTIAN also represents several major contemporary artists in Germany, including Anselm Kiefer, Ulrich Erben, Paul Wallach, Wim Wenders, and Emma Stibbon. The gallery publishes numerous exhibition catalogues, monographs, and catalogues raisonnés. A selection of these publications is available in our shop. The gallery’s exhibitions and showrooms are also presented online in Viewing Rooms. BASTIAN regularly participates in a selection of the most prestigious international art fairs, including Art Basel Hong Kong, TEFAF Maastricht, Frieze Masters London, The Armory Show New York, and Art Cologne. Founded in 1989 by Céline and Heiner Bastian, the gallery has been directed by Aeneas Bastian since 2016. The gallery is preparing a series of international exhibitions featuring the artists it represents, the first stage of which will take place in Paris.
