Heterotopia presents a selection of recent works by Simone Haack, in which painting becomes a space of transition between the familiar and the unsettling. The exhibition explores “other spaces” — scenes and atmospheres that seem close at first, then slip away, as if reality had shifted slightly off its axis. Through precise attention to light, layering, and material tensions, Haack composes images that are at once sensual and ambiguous, where one senses thresholds, passages, and zones of silence. Heterotopia invites an active viewing experience: to move closer, return, recompose, and let a fragmentary narrative emerge from traces, apparitions, and echoes.
