Simone Haack

Simone Haack (born in 1978) grew up in Gyhum, a former village of around 400 inhabitants located between Bremen and Hamburg. The landscapes of northern Germany from her childhood, in the Teufelsmoor region, left a lasting mark on her visual memory. She studied at the University of the Arts in Bremen with Katharina Grosse and Karin Kneffel, of whom she became a master student. After a year of study at the Unitec School of Design in Auckland, New Zealand, she continued her studies at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris in the studio of the Dutch painter Pat Andrea.
