Pierre-Auguste Renoir

Pierre-Auguste Renoir (1841–1919) was a major French Impressionist painter, famous for his luminous brushwork and his scenes of modern leisure, portraits, and nudes with vibrant flesh tones. A co-founder of the movement alongside Monet, Degas, and Sisley, he later developed a more structured style of painting while retaining the characteristic sensuality and warmth of his work.
